Update #2 – GenCon Round Up and Spoilers!

Greetings and salutations, Tales & Twisters!

Now that the team is back together, with Nadja back from GenCon – more on that in a bit -, it is time to share a peek behind the curtains at some of the things we have been cooking up!

As shared in our previous update, we have included a follower gift that celebrates those who believed in this project since day one: the Beliefborne community, inspired by belief, oral traditions and communal knowledge built through shared stories and moments.

And in true Jack of All Tracks form, we can’t wait for you to see it for yourselves, so we decided to share the artwork for it!

As we gear up to get everything ready for the campaign, we will be sharing little teasers and sneak peeks into each of the campaign frames, and what better way to start than with a couple of the spreads for A Sweet Resistance, which some lucky folks got to see in person at GenCon?

Speaking of which, our fearless goblin, Nadja, is back from GenCon – the largest tabletop gaming convention in the US -, where she got to hang out with other Daggerheart fans, game designers and meet a bunch of cool people, as well as get to know some of our RPG Party 2026 class mates!

She came back inspired by every conversation had with fellow con-goers, especially with those she got to share a bit more about what Tales & Twists is all about – whether that was over the Candykin ancestry promo cards, or the advanced reader’s preview we had available at the Gamefound booth.

If you got one – either from her or from the Gamefound booth –  please share a picture with us on our socials, we’d love to know just how far our sweet rebels have made it!

And since we’re talking GenCon, major shout out to the Hope Dies Last team for their major triumph at the ENNIES!

Mike Underwood took home THREE gold ENNIES for their work on the Daggerheart Core Rulebook and the Daggerheart Quickstart Adventure: the Sablewood Messengers, and Andrew Beauman’s work on the art and layout for Chain Link, part of Plus One EXP’s RPG Zine Club: Year 2, won the Judge’s Spotlight award!

Just in case you are unfamiliar, Hope Dies Last is a triptych of Daggerheart-compatible campaign frames that is also part of the RPG Party, brought to you by Mike Underwood and the lovely folks at Infinite Citadel, Andrew Beaumont, Conlin xxx and Matt Best. Hope Dies Last also includes a Mechanical Nexus full of new gameplay options to be used with their campaign frames and in worlds of your own, and you should absolutely go check them out!

We’ve been itching to show you a little more of what we’ve been working on, so here’s your chance to choose what we’ll spoil you with next! Which of the campaign frames’s settings do you want to learn more about?

  • A Sweet Resistance
  • The Ruins of Elementia
  • Dies Tenebris
